All You Need is Love

I am proud to say that I have the absolute cutest cat in the world. Her name is Kitty, I know, my family is very original. She is a little over a year old.
She has a HUGE personality. She thinks she is the Queen Bee in my house, and my family and I are her subjects.
She walks with her head held high, shoulders straight, and with a swagger.
Even though she can act like a total snob, she is very sweet and affectionate.
I'm her favorite, she is always in my room, and is always purring when she is around me. Its flattering, but it can get very annoying.
She is OBSESSED with hair ties. In my house, you can never put down a hair tie or a rubber band, she will steal them. Even if you put them in a drawer, or a makeup bag, she can sniff them out, I swear. If you have a hair tie, you have to keep it on your wrist, or you will never see it again.
Almost a year ago, we got Kitty. She was in our bushes in our front yard. We think she was like 8 weeks old, give or take a few weeks. My mom wanted to keep her, as did I. My dad on the other hand, did not want her, but of course we kept her.
That first week that we had her was hell for me. She had to stay in my room, because we didn't want her to be around my dog, Butch, yet. I'm a night owl, I go to bed around 3 0r 4 and sleep 'till 12 or later. Kitty was the opposite. She would sleep from 10 at night 'till around 1 a.m. And when she was awake, I had to be awake. She was loud, needy, and nervous. I didn't get much sleep those first couple of weeks.
She is the cutest thing ever, I am so glad we kept her(:

Paperback Writer

My favorite author is Ned Vizzini. He has written three books: Teen Angst? Naaah..., Be More Chill, and It's Kind of a Funny Story (Hence the title of my blog, it's where I got the idea from.)
After I read all of Vizzini's books, I went on his website, www.nedvizzini.com , and emailed him. He replied to me in just 5 days! I was soo excited!
It's Kind of a Funny Story or IKOAFS is my favorite. The book is about 15 year old Craig. Criag thinks he has to be perfect, which is impossible, and wants to kill himself. He ends up checking himself into a hospital and is admitted to the mental part of the hospital. The people there are hilarious, and have funny quirks. At the hospital, Craig meets Noelle, and they start to like eachother. I laughed quite a bit while I read this book, and while I read it, I never wanted to put it down.
It's Kind of a Funny Story was made into a movie! The movie is coming out September 24, 2010, and I can not wait to see it! Zach Galifianakis( Alan, from The Hangover) is going to be in it, and I LOVE him(:

Ticket To Ride

I live in FL, so I am luckily surrounded by fun amusement parks. My friend, Grace, and I went to our favorite park last week. While riding one ride we met this hilarious lady. She was in her mid-twenties and made my friend and I crack up. Now, that was last Wednesday. This Wednesday, Grace, Rose(previously mentioned), and I went back to the park. While waiting in line for our favorite roller coaster, Grace swore she saw the same lady from last week. None of us thought it was possible, and agreed that it must have been someone that looked like her.

After the roller coaster, we went to ride Phoenix (The ride where we met the lady the week prior.) As we boarded the ride, guess who is sitting there? The hilarious lady! We were all shocked. There is like a one in a million chance that we would ever see that women again, and there she was. Then throughout the whole day, we spotted her EVERYWHERE we went.

One thing I love about going to amusement parks is that you can people watch. Little kids are the funniest. Their excitement and happiness always makes my day. I was watching a show at the park and the little girl next to my friend was super excited about seeing the characters in the show, so she started dancing. I'm not talking about just wiggling your body. This little four year old was rocking out. Shaking her head back and forth, throwing her arms in the air. She was hardcore. I couldn't help myself..I started to dance too. It was sooo much fun!

Yesterday

Last night I finished reading: Violet on the Runway By: Melissa Walker.

I thought this book was very good. It took me awhile to get into it, but once I did, I couldn't put it down.

This is the first book of the series, I can not wait to read the rest! It's about a normal girl, Violet, who lives in North Carolina, who gets her big shot of being a model in New York. It turns out she is an amazing model, but she soon finds out being a model is not all it's cracked up to be.

I Feel Fine

This past school year, my friend and I worked in the library. It was either first period P.E or practically having a free period first thing in the morning. The decision wasn't hard. We would put the books away, checked in and out books, and would copy people's homework from the night before. It was great.

I would like to tell you some stories of my library experiences, but I have changed the names of the people in my stories to protect their privacy.

Well, everyday a sixth grader, named Corey, would visit the library. Corey was a pudgy, short, little kid, but he was adorable. My friend, Rose, and I would always talk to him. He told hilarious stories and we would always look forward to seeing him the following day. Everyday, he would check out two thick chapter books, there was absolutely no way he could read both in one night. Eventually, the librarians caught on, and told him to go back to class. Corey came to visit the library less and less.

One day, Corey came in and wouldn't talk. We asked him what happened, so he wrote it out for us. I felt like I was talking to Lassie, his hand writing was illegible, so we had to guess what he was trying to say. Supposedly, while he was brushing his teeth, the tooth brush fell out of his mouth. While his mouth was still open, the tooth brush hit a sharp razor, and the razor soared into his mouth, and cut the top of his tongue so badly, he had to get stitches. He wouldn't talk for a week, and claimed all he had been "eating" was water. After a week of him not speaking, he came in one day and was cured. The stitches were gone but he would NOT show us the scars. Confused? Yeah, so were we.
